Wowhead: To begin, why Warcraft III over other classic games such as Warcraft I, II, or Diablo? There will be a video version of it early next week.
The game will be fully voiced and translated into multiple languages, more than it was originally. There will be options to use old Warcraft III models in the game, for those looking to retain the classic experience. The game uses the same base engine as the original Warcraft III, including the same AI. 
Currently, the team has no plans to expand the Warcraft III (RoC and TFT) campaigns or add content from Warcraft I or II to the game.Lore retcons that happened after Warcraft III came out will likely be adapted to their new version, but again it is an area that there will be a lot of dialogue with the community.The main focus is to preserve the Warcraft III experience.
Improvements to gameplay will be carefully analyzed. The team values a lot the community that kept Warcraft III alive for 13 years without much support and is looking to have a lot of dialogue with them to make Reforge into the best experience possible. More tools should arrive for the Map Editor feature, to help creators with some unnecessary roadblocks. The team wants to have all custom maps from Frozen Throne working with Reforged. The main focus of the team is laser-cut fidelity with the original Warcraft III experience. Warcraft III Reforged is being made by the same team that released Starcraft Remastered. Last couple years it was up a few minutes or at most couple hours after the stream ended, but this year it's taking essentially a day for many panels. Wost part of this years Blizzcon imo was how the video-on-demand worked this year. I really like also how voice actors, streamers and other content creators are more and more being included in it, and that at least most of the presenters I noticed seem to actually know, like and care about the games. Great communication and with plenty of humor loved it! More than all, I loved how all WoW panels were presented. With all the tension that we've been seeing in the WoW community it was great to see them aknowledge BfA issues, and announcing promissing stuff for 8.2. Above all, I really liked the WoW panels. I love W3 being remastered, and WoW Classic is looking great, as well as the news on it. Nothing huge (as we should expect tbh), but pretty cool. But we need to remind ourselves Blizzcon is not just that.Įither way, I thought it was pretty decent actually.
